I'm going a little crazy trying to get that Prism quilt together. It is taking longer than I thought it would. My daughter and I worked on it for hours yesterday, but we only have 40% of it together.
Yes, 40%. The quilt has 10 rows and we have 4 together. Part of those hours went into getting the blocks up on the design wall and doing the OCD thing where you switch virtually identical blocks out with other virtually identical blocks trying to make a great quilt greater and all the while swearing you aren't going to make yourself insane because two bitty bits of green are touching.
Please, please tell me we aren't the only ones who do this??
Thought I"d give you a peek at my sewing area after we finished yesterday. At first we were being quite tidy with all the bits, but I foolishly turned on the ceiling fan. Then Miss Daisy discovered the paper.....and proceeded to have a kitty party! She'd run into the room at top speed, grab up a bit of paper and then run out. And then she'd do it over and over and over. She also enjoyed frolicking in the paper as if it was a big pile of autumn leaves. She was so funny we really didn't care about the mess, which is a good thing since there are bits of paper in EVERY ROOM OF MY HOUSE!
|See her there? She's pretending to be a Good Kitty, but don't be fooled! LOL!|
What did you say? You want to see the quilt?
Well, how about a shot of my new design wall with all the blocks on it before we started stitching?
|Design wall is 8 ft x 8 ft, so that gives you an idea of the size of the quilt, which of course, will be much smaller once things are stitched together!|
Anyway, here's hoping, hoping we can manage to get it totally finished today.
Send good thoughts my way, okay?
